It was really pity to see the city -orphan (. Absolutely filthy , the beach literally dying before your eyes . We found couple of restaurants ( TO-TO and “COMPANY 2”with good food and our hotel ( boutique hotel ARCHEO was very well kept and only these 2 things gave us nice impressions. The plAce has big potential but local consul needs to do a lot more to clean the streets of the city .

We arrived grumpy and had difficulty parking. The owner went out of his way to help us and we were extremely grateful for his assistance. His restaurant recommendation was on point. The host Joseph was incredibly friendly. When we asked him where to buy beach towels, he bought them for us and when we asked him how to get a taxi to the train station, he offered to drive us. The location is also right in the center of the town and our stay in the B&B gave us an authentic feel of Gela.
